The man in the grey suit.

3 Great White Sharks have been spotted close to shore off Oahu, Maui, and Kohala on the big island of Hawaii in the last week. From what I've read it's a pretty rare thing to spot them. But seeing how it's the height of the humpback whale season it doesn't surprise me.

Every day I sit upstairs on the lanai having lunch and reading the paper. Monday every time I looked up at the ocean I saw a whale. Finally I just put the paper down and watched the show! I saw 10 whales during my lunch hour. Wow. In the last 2 weeks I've seen "choke" whales. (Lots) for those of you who are pigeon challenged. Mauna Kea has had snow on it all week. I can't see it from our house but I can feel it at night time. The mauka wind in the early hours of the day is very cool. Enough so I have to use a blanket. This is the only way I know it's winter time.

Aloha till next time.
